The purpose of the Particle Impact Noise Detection test or PIND test is to detect loose particles within a device cavity. Loose particles inside a device, have the potential to harm the functionality and reliability of the device.
\At a fundamental level this test is conducted by securinga sample onto a vibration shaker and subsequently performing a series of vibrations designed to shift any loose particles inside the device. The impacts of the loose particles on the device are then detected by an impact detection sensor and are converted into electrical signals which a technician can then analyze on a computer.
eComp offers Particle Impact Noise Detection and many other component testing services.
